What you can do in January, in Missouri, to scratch that gardening itch

It is January and, no doubt, there are some of you that are already so finished with the cold weather and snow and winter and are just ready to put seeds in the ground! I know I am. Well, not just yet…well, at least, not in Missouri. However, there is some things you can be doing to prepare for this years garden though. Not until later February/early March, in Missouri can you plant in the ground, unless, of course, you have a greenhouse or a cold frame you use. Even then, in Missouri, it gets very cold and you will need to keep the plants warmer. Right not, it is a good time to order your seed catalog and start thumbing through that and planning what you want to grow and what types you want to grow……..To read the whole article click here.
